Shimpack undertake pressings in all metals to suit your needs. We can offer prompt deliveries from existing press tools or a speedy service from new tooling from your drawing or samples. |

Plastic Shims
Plastic Shims are readily available where sealing is required. Soft enough to retain their thickness and smoothness under all normal working conditions. As they are impervious to oil, leakage is eliminated and makes plastic shims a perfect oil seal.

Compressive strength 8,000 to 25,000 lb. p.s.i.
Standard sheets from .001’’ to .060’’. All sheets are coloured. One colour for each thickness makes identification simple. Sheet sizes 6’’x 24’’ and 12’’x 24’’.

Filters
Shimpack filters are produced to precise drawing requirements. Plain – Metal Rimmed – Solder Edged. Manufactured from woven wire or perforated sheet in a range of metals covering all main uses. Materials include Stainless Steel – Monel – Phosphur Bronze – Copper – Brass – Steel – Aluminium etc. |

Gaskets
Shims – Gaskets and Washers can be supplied in the following materials: -
Rubber – Nylon – P.T.F.E. – Rigid and Soft P.V.C. Polypropylene – Perspex – Polystyrene – Asbestos Fibres – Melinex – Vulcanised Fibres – Cork – Corrugated Paper.

Machining
We offer excellent machining facilities for manufacturing prototypres and low volume usage of component parts where the cost of new press tooling would not be practical.
Solid raw materials in strip form can also be supplied. |
